NY Presbyterian –
The Allen Hospital

New York City

For healthcare institutions needing critical space, built quickly and to the highest quality standard, Gil-Bar Health & Life Sciences (GBHLS) has the expertise to get the job done. That’s exactly why we were hired to create two spine surgical suites through renovation of existing operating rooms at NY Presbyterian.

GBHLS provided a modular wall system that hangs on hooks, allowing the panels to be removed and replaced as needed in order for the surgical department to easily update the facility’s technology over time. We also supplied a modular ceiling system that incorporates laminar flow diffusers, structural boom supports, and lighting over the sterile field. As with the walls, this state of the art system offers an unprecedented degree of flexibility, making it possible to reconfigure the booms.

The result? The most technologically advanced spinal operating room in the Northeast, completed within three months. The modular construction didn’t just improve operational flexibility, it also cut four weeks from the construction schedule. And the wall panels, with cut-outs prepared in advance at the factory, saved another three weeks. The latest technology, with future-proofed flexibility and fast time
to completion. That’s the sweet spot for Gil-Bar Health & Life Sciences.
