City of New York–
Police Academy
Gil-Bar’s long relationship with the NYPD has been built on repeatedly exceeding expectations under the most urgent conditions.
Our first project was the Joint Operations Command Center, in an emergency fast-build setting. We received the order on Christmas Eve and delivered product that exceeded NYPD standards by February 15th. On the strength of that performance, we became the base of design for the new Police Academy Project. It became an extensive AHU job, with 55 Ventrol units. Our FANWALL Technology® offered built-in redundancy and unprecedented ease of maintenance.
Then, halfway through the build, Hurricane Sandy hit New York, flooding 20 units being stored in the riggers yard. We went into overdrive, prioritizing production and other orders to replace the
units without compromising the opening schedule. We also provided full field services: mounting and wiring controls, supervising rigging, performing start-up and commissioning, along with a five-year maintenance contract. We help keep the NYPD cool, so they can keep us all safe.
