Chris loves helping engineers solve the toughest challenges. His own toughest challenge? Figuring out how to heat an underground train platform, below a 50-foot building, without easy access to electrical power or a flue stack. His solution, a direct fire gas installation, was initially a tough sell, especially for a public-funded job. But his engineering background gave him the ability to demonstrate the safety of a solution that’s run successfully ever since.
This opportunity to think outside the box, with the complete freedom to propose the best solution for the client, is a big part of what’s kept him at Gil-Bar for nearly three decades. Chris completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Polytechnic University in Brooklyn.
